My Dorm
I remember the first day that I moved into my dorm. When I first walked in, there was a strange aroma, that I thought could be a detriment to my health. The space itself was so disturbed. The blinds were slinged across the windows, looking like it just went through a tropical storm. The ceiling leaked a little like rain drops coming from the heavens. The leaking made a remnant of the ceiling brown, making you think it was already Autumn. The cleanest thing in there was probably the chestnut hardwood furniture. I had to take care of all this, because I couldn't live in that bat's den. So I got on it, called housing, and started cleaning up. It took awhile to clean and get everything in order, but we did. Now I have my dorm spotless, its like an oasis in the Bahamas. I especially love the tropical fruit aroma that it now has. My rugged dorm has blummed to be my own very space.

Turning 16
Turning 16 for me was so fun. Being 16 comes with so many new opportunties, that you're ready to jump on and ride. One of those are getting driver licenses, that's like every 16 year old's goal when they turn 16. I remember when I got my licenses, boy was I super happy, I remember the date, and everything. Turning 16 also means that you get a little more freedom from the folks, you get to stay out a little later, drive by youself, and things that come along when turning the big one six . Turning 16 is like winning the superbowl, for most teenagers. Sixteen means a whole lot to teenagers this day and age, because they think that when they turn 16, that they can do what ever they please, but it don't work that of way. To the blogger nation outthere, especially to you ones who are turning 16, its special turning 16, but you have to remember you're a still a child and under mom's and dad's roof. Peace out

My Senior Year of Highschool
Boy was my senior year the best ever, I believe. I was so excited about it the start of the school year. I was sort of like the big man on campus, but I didn't do the bullying thing and wasn't the cocky type. It all started with me being named my basketball team captain.I had a great season, leading the team in scoring, assists, rebounds, and steals. I received numerous awards: County Tournament MVP, 1st team all area, team's MVP and DOP,and Christmas Classic all tournament team. We have this thing at all school where a senior boy and girl are crowned the school's name, and I was crowned Mr.CCHS. I was a recipent of the DAR Good Citzenship award, which is given to the recipent with outstanding leadership qualities, dependability, and service to community. I also participated in many volunteering organization. My favorite was when a group of my teammates and I went to our elementary school to spend a day with some of the kids, and that was blast, because I love kids. Finally graduation rolled around, one of the most happiest moments of my life, I thought that moment would never come. When they call my name to walk across that stage, my senior of highschool was officially over, thank God!
Freshmen Orientation.
My orientation was great. I met some very nice people and learned some new things. When I got there I had to sign in and get a name card. After that I had to go to an asssembly like function where different people talked to us about college life and the jump from highschool. They said "college is a different game", because you don't have mom and dad there to look after you anymore. They also mention that you should cherish your spare time, because you can always study if you're finish with your main work. My favorite speaker was this lady Mrs.E from Jersey. She told us that anything is possible if you put in the work. She grew up poor, but didn't let that stop her show; she went on to graduate highschool, and attended Rutgers University; graduating from there, and went on to be a success story. She has also wrote a book. After that we had lunch, boy was hungry. After lunch it was time to register for classes. We separated into groups, and went into a room with computers. Our advisors had already made our schedules out for us, so we didn't have to do anything, but submit our classes online. After registering for classes, it was time to take the long trip back home. Thats how my freshmen orientation went down. curian

Don't be Lazy
I know sometimes as humans, we tend to be lazy, and when we're being lazy we miss out on opportunities. I once had a lazy spell on me at one time, but I realized that I had to get out of that quick. When I started my freshmen year of highschool I did just enough to get by. I slacked on studying, paying attention in class, and other things that I shouldn't have been doing. The Bible says its not good to be lazy, and I had to change my laziness fast. So I started changing gradually, and finally I abolished every lazy bone in my body. So blogger nation out there, if you're the lazy type, you should try thinking about changing that aspect of your life, because its not healthy. Curian

The Right Attitude
Having the right attitude can get you along way in life. Some people attitudes hinder them from getting things that they really want. Its imperative to have a good attitude; it doesn't matter what the situation may be, because you don't know who's watching. This summer while I was working at an athletic store I encountered some people who were very nasty in attitude.I could have easily got one back with them, but I stayed cool, calm, and collective. I think having the right attitude shows maturity and self -discipline. Having the wrong attitude can be detrimental to your health physically and mentally. It can cause high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, etc. To the blogger nation out there; if you have a bad attitude or know someone with one, lets try working on that, because bad attitudes are not cool.

New Guy inTown
If were in charge of my high school, I'd probably set it on fire, naw just kidding .There would be so many changes and revisions. First I would make sure that every teacher is doing his or her best to try and make sure that the students are learning and coming out of the class with understanding of the subject at hand. Next if the students don't cooperate with others and not doing their lesson, I would take some of their privileges away such as, attending the pep rallys, gettin to leave school early if they have jobs, and other functions. Next I would change the dress code to uniforms, because that way the kids with the more expensive clothes and shoes want try to rag on the less fortunate kid who can't afford the expensive clothes. Being in charge may be a big responsaibilty, but I think I can ahndle with a little cooperation from others.
I Remember
I remember when I was a kid, I loved to ride horses. Riding horses made me feel like I was on top of the world. Most of the horses that I encountered were pretty gentle. I remeber this one time when a horse threw me and I was so devastated, because I thought that the horse was my friend. Being a kid and something like that happening to you, kills your confidence, but not mine, because I just loved riding horses. Horses are so fun to ride, especially when someone else is riding along side you. The type of horses I rode were call Tennessee Walking Horses, they were horses that had a different style from other oridinary horses. These horses were bred to be stylish and show horses. I remember when my dad and I used go to shows all over Alabama, showing our horses. Them were the good ole days. I don't have much time like I use to ride horses, but its still in my heart!!!

The Transition to College
In life we all have to make transitions. One of my most recent transitions has been moving to college. It has ran smoothly thus far.I've met alot of new people who have made me feel like family. I'm not trying to get brownie points with this, but surprisingly all of my instructors have been great. I don't know if its because I'm a freshmen or what. I'm still going through some transitions though , because I haven't found any good clean fun to get into, but it'll come, just need to continue to stay focus on my studies.I'm still adjusting to this transition, but I know that I will adjust and grow not only to like it, but love it.Thanks for listening blogger nation, until next time goodbye. My Favorite Moment while playing Highschool Basketball
Everyone has that moment where they fill like they're on top of the world. This moment dates back to my junior year of highschool, when my basketball team went to the state the championships games. I can't explain that filling, it was just so amazing. When got to leave school early, everyone was pulling for us, and overall it was just exciting. We breeze through preliminary rounds, and made it to the Final Four. Its just so ecstatic playing for championships. We got to Birmingham all excited ready for our next opponent. We beat that team an advanced to the state championship game. I want go into details with that game, because that's where my favorite moment of playing highschool basketball ended, but if any of you out there in blogger nation has a favorite moment, you should feel free and share it, because we're one big family. My Favorite Highschool Teacher.
Ever one has a favorite highschool teacher, but probably want admit it. I meet this teacher my 10th grade year of highchool. Her name was Mrs.Davis, and she was my Advanced English teacher and Spanish teacher. At first I thought she was the worst, because she was so hard on me. In the beginning I just did enough to get by, because I was so glad to be in highschool and playing varsity basketball. She had this motto that said," I always win", and she was right, she made me realize that if I wanted to be something in life, I couldn't do half work. Since then I've been motivated to do my best and try to be the best, but not in a conceited way, but an achievement way. So bloggers out there go ahead and blog about your favorite highschool teachers, because they might see it, and it would just make their day.
The Importance of Honesty
Honesty is a hard character to find in some people this day and time. Honesty will get you along way in life. I think God smiles on us when we're honest. This summer I was working at an athletic store, and it was this lady who dropped a sum of money on the floor, but she didn't realize that she dropped it, so I went over to pick it up, and caught up with her and gave it back. Some peole asked me things like ,why didn't you keep the money, I was like that's what you call honesty, by doing the right thing and given it back. Listen to this right here; the next Sunday at church I was given money by the pastor and members for practicing good character. To the blogger nation out there, its so important to practice being honest, because its the right thing to do; you may not always be rewarded, but you can live with yourself much easier.

My Favorite Movie
Being a sports a guy; I have to go with Friday Night Lights, thats based on a true story. What so great about this movie is the intensity it brings to the football world. The city where this movie took place is just like Alabama, a down right football town, and you got love that. Movies like these are so fun to watch, because they give you an idea what its like be apart of a prestigous program. This movie isn't just for entertaining, it has a life lesson in it. The star of the team and the biggest mouth on the team Boobie Myles was a great player, who was probably one of the top recruits in the nation at the time, but his arrogance and being so conceited caught up with him. One ht they were playing a team who they were destroying, but his big ego kicked in again; and he wanted to go in kicked the extra point while the coach was telling he had enough for the night; his coache gave in, and he went and got hurt and was out for the season. The point of that story is, don't think that you're the best and no one can stop you.
