Kanye at the VMAs

I know you seen it or heard about it. "Kanye why would you do that". Kanye was so wrong for doing what he did the other day at the VMAs. I like him and all, but for that night he was just a jerk. You just don't try to steal someone's moment to shine. He just straight out embarassed Talor Swift, and hisself. People just don't think before they act. After the VMAs, he was on the Jay Leno show where Jay asked, "What would your mother think about the other night"? Kanye was just speechless. What has made me mad is that he has not publicly apologize to Taylor yet. As of now I think it has blown over, but every year when the VMAs roll around that clip will be replayed on every tv station.

What I've been learning

In all of classes that I've taken, I have learned alot. I have some very good instructors, who try to get the information out I need to be successful in their classes. I have also learned that its not the instructors responsibility to make sure you're keeping up with certain things, like these blogs. I've also learned that in order to do well, I had to manage my time when it came down to studying and class. Another thing I've learned is that in order to be a good student, you must be discipline. All the classes that I take have benefited me in some sort. Some of my classes made me realize that in order to be a good student, I have to put in the time and do my best.

Study

Studying is very important, especially when you don't know anything about the topic that's being discussed. Some people wait to the last minute to study for a test, and sometimes it's the final test, and that could determine if they pass a class. It's very important to study early because you want to be able to grasp the info, and have it in your mind. Putting in the time to study really pays off. It was this one time in highschool where I had a test, and I knew I needed to study in order to pass the test, but I thought that I could look at the material the day of test and pass. Naw it didn't even work like that. I knew that I probably wouldn't pass the test because I didn't study. The next day when I got it back, I saw that I had made a 65. That's failing for me. From then on I realized if I wanted to pass my tests with flying colors, I had to put in the time and study. Bloggers out there, its imperative that you study.

Hallowen as a Kid

Hallowen growing up for me was much different probably from other kids. My mom didn't really allow my siblings and I to go trick or treating. She would instead have some activity going on at the house and we would invite people to come over.If we didn't have anything at the house for hallowen, we went to a jamboree that our church had. It was mainly to keep the kids off the streets during hallowen to keep them out of trouble. This really help them to stay out of trouble during hallowen. Every year the amount of kids increase in coming. This was really fun because we played alot games with each other, and got to meet new people. We also got alot of candy and other goodies at the end. We played Bible quiz games, checkers , and all kinds of other games. I know alot of kids might say hallowen night is about throwing eggs, not about going to jamborees, but its a great way to stay out of trouble. Even though I didn't experience a traditional hallowen, I still got a lot caandy just like you other kids.

My First Biology Test

Biology is a subject that I enjoy learning, so when I registered for this class, I knew I probably would do well it. Also when I registered for this class I didn't know what teacher to take, so I just picked I one. Lucky me I picked Nathan Okia, in which a colossus of people I meet says he's like the hardest biology teacher there is. I was kind of nervous when I heard that, but that if I studied and did what I suppose to it would be alright. Not to long ago he gave us a pop quiz, and alot of students hadn't been studying like they suppose to, and they were just freaking out when he was passing out the pop quiz because they weren't ready for it. Me on the other hand, I was calm and cool because I knew I was going to pass it because I had been study from week one. The next class meeting he gave them back. I made a 90, which should have been a 100 because I knew the answer to the problem, but wasn't sure about it. About three weeks later it was time for our first test in his class. I knew I didn't that much because I had been studying since week one. I just browsed over my notes and handouts. The next day when I got to class I was nervous because I didn't know how his test was going to be. Once he handed them out, I knew that I was going to do well. When it was time to turn them in, I told him that I aced it. The next class meeting I was anxious to see my test. Before he passed them out he told us that there were six A's. I knew one was mine. When he call my name, I became a bit nervous, but I knew I passed it. When I got my test back I saw an 89 on it, boy was I happy because an A in his class starts at an 85. So that was my first biology test and it went well. Bloggers outthere I'll be back to let you know how I'm doing in my other classes.

Where I lived

The place where I used to live is so different from Montgomery. It's called, Packards Bend, and yes that's in Alabama. Its very rural and small. Its a place where everybody knows you, and you know everybody. It probably has a population of about 200 people, while the other hand, Montgomery having way more than that. The lifestyle is faster here. Also there are stop lights here, and we don't stop lights where I lived, nothing but a few stop signs. Montgomery offers way more opportunities than where I used to live. There's one thing where I used to live that Montgomery doesn't offer, and that's the good hospitality that we have. We have alot nice people in my hometown. If you did some wrong, everybody knew you or your family, so if you wanted save your self some humilation, you had to do the right thing. Overall I loved where I lived, and wouldn't trade it for the world!

Meet Joe Blog

Blogging is one of those things that everybody is doing. Blogging came about in 1997. It wasn't a hit at first, but as time progessed, more people start to use it. Blogging can be about anything. It can leak a scandal about government officials, sports, how to fix a car, etc. Some of the top newspaper editors even blog. The best thing about blogs are, they're free. The public loves free stuff. You can blog from almost anywhere: mobile phone, work,or even school. Sometimes blogs can reveal things that just don't need to be revealed. Blogging has gotten alot of people famous, and they also have gotten alot of them in trouble. Blogs have their own voice and personality. Overall, blogging is a way for everybody to let people know their thoughts, and what they think about different situations.

My First Day of Work

Today was my first day of work at my new job, and it went well. I supposed to have worked from 12 to 4, but I worked until 5. I want complain, I really need the hours. The manager and the other employees were very nice and very helpful towards me. I made a  few  sales today. We weren't very busy today , so I had time to learn my way around the store. Eventually time  passed by, and it was almost time for me to get off, when all of sudden we had a rush of people to come in. I said," I'm glad I'm about to get off", because I didn't feel like dealing with all those people. Overall,my first day of work went well.

Best Advice

The best advice that I've probably gotten, has to be from my dad. He instill in me, to always take pride in my work. He told me it doesn't matter what I'm doing, do my best, because when you do your best, the rest will take care itself. He said, "Hard work is a must, if you want to make it." Every time I attempt to do something, I always try to work hard at it, because that's how I was taught. When I'm faced with a diffcult challenge, I rely on the advice that my dad gave me, and that really helps me through.

The First Paper

Well this is my first college paper, and I'm not that excited about it. Maybe because I haven't written anything formal in about six months .The paper is on what experiences influenced me as a writer . I had to first due a draft, so that I could have some to work off of. I want this paper to be a good one, so I started extra early. We had to turn in a draft by a certain time, so that's one reason I started early. The other day we got our draft back and I made a "B". That let me know I had to be better on my final paper, which is due in a few days. So blogger nation I will get back to you on how I did on my final paper. Peace

The Injuries

It was my sixth grade year, when I got injuried. It was during spring break, and I was at a friend's house, and we were jumping on the trampoline. We decided to wrestle, and you now how boys are we it comes to wrestling, we want to show off our strength. Everything was going alright in the beginning, and then all of sudden, my friend grabbed me and threw me down. I blanked out, and when I regain consciousness, I had a busted head, and my right wrist was broken. I thought I was about to die, because I never seen that much blood just gushing out me. My friend's yelled for our dad's to come up, because they were in the backyard. They came running up, and asked what had happen, and we told them that we were wrestling. They didn't say anything, because they knew that's how boys play, it was just a freak accident in the end. So they rushed me to the ER, which is about 10 minutes away. When we got there, the er staff took me right in, and fixed me up. When they finished, they told me not to go into the field of wrestling. Just a little er humor. Over the weeks, my injuries were healing, and doing well. I will never forget this, neither will my friend, because he always use it against me when I try to wrestle around with him . He says, " you know you don't want none of this, I've already did you in one time," in a humorous way, he'd say

My Job

My job right now is the perfect job me. It works around my schedule, so therefore it doesn't interfere with school, and it don't get any better than that.  The work is fun, because I get to interact with people, and help them find what they need.  My job is at an athletic store called, Hibbett Sports. Its located in Eastdale Mall. I started working there this summer. I think that its so fun me, because I'm an athlete, and what athlete wouldn't want to work at an athletic store. I also get a 25% discount off all the merchandise in the store, so that's a plus! I'm really glad that I have the opportunity to work at Hibbetts Sports.

My weekend

My weekend was filled with a lot college football and good eating. I started the weekend off first with a little  studying, so that I could stay ahead of my classes. The first game I watched was, Michigan versus Notre Dame. It was a game filled and packed with a lot hard hitting and good offense. The game went down to the wire. About 45 seconds left on the clock, Michigan marched down field and scored a touchdown, to give them the victory. After I finish watching that game my friend called me to come over to his house to cookout, and to watch some more football. When I got there his dad was cooking on the grill, and it smelled so good. I went in and greeted everybody. The Alabama game was on when I made it to the t.v. , and they were up by a little. Even though they weren't playing a prestigious program, it was still fun to watch Alabama football. They won in the end, so I was happy. After the game I got some barbecue, which was smoking. After we ate, we sat down to watch some more football, and enjoyed the rest of the day.

Elementary School

I remember when I was in elementary school, and it was this one teacher that all the students feared. Fortunately I was kindergarten when I first heard of her. Her name was Mrs.Pursor, and she taught second grade. Everyone who took her said, she was so mean. She used to put students in corners for not cooperating. I was scared to walk pass her classroom when I started school. Every time I saw her in the hallway, I'd drop my head, because she looked so mean. When I got older, I realized she probably did that on purpose, because she knew students were talking about how mean she was, and she wanted us to think that. In the end I found her to be pretty nice, even though she left before I got to her class.Yes!!!!!!

Labor Day

Labor Day was awesome for me. I got to be at home with my family, and I caught up with some of my old high school friends. The day started off with me going down the road to see my granny, who I had not seen in awhile. I really miss her great cooking .  I sat and talked with her and my aunts for awhile, and afterwards I went to visit one of my friends who I had not seen in a minute. He was doing good. After I left there, I headed home, because mom was cooking on the grill, boy do I love barbecue. I could smell the aroma of the meat from the driveway. I got out with a smile on my face, because I was glad that I was at home.  The best part about the barbecue was, that I could eat it in front of the football game that was on, and everybody knows that's the best time to eat barbecue. It was good to eat some of mom's home cooking again, which I missed. After we finished eating, we finished watching the game, and went outside to see daddy ride the horse. The horse really looked good. The day was almost over, time for me to get ready to leave, and come back to get ready for school. I gave my hugs and love to the family, and packed up and left.

College Football

Man this is the best time of the year. College football is exciting from the beginning to the end, because teams are trying to stay undefeated, and receive a spot to play in a BCS game, especially the national championship game. A lot of teams don't get any respect during the season, especially non BCS conferences.  These are the teams that are in weak conferences that no one respects, but at the end they usually upset the top dogs. Just last year, Utah from a non BCS conference, upset my beloved Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl. I was really upset, but that's college football for you. In order to get a good bowl game, a team needs to have a good schedule, and some good wins against some tough opponents, and maybe at the end of the year they'll be invited to participate in a bowl game. This time of the year is very special to me, because it brings my family, friends, and me together for some good ole fun.

Staying Prepared

Its so important to stay prepared this day and age, because you don't know when you might have to do something. Every since the first week of class I've been studying, trying to stay on top my work. Today on the way to class I was talking to a girl from Biology class, and I asked her had she been studying for the class, and she said, "no", and I was like you're going to be way behind, she said, "I'll study the week of the test", which is September 17, and I was like ok that's on you. Today nobody knew that we were going to have a pop Biology quiz in Dr.Nathan Okia's class. Alot of the students were so shocked and discombalated, because I guess they weren't prepared for it. I was like, I'm going to blow this out of the water, because I had been preparing since the first week of school. After finishing it ,I felt real good about it, while on the other hand, some of the students were still in shock about the thing. To the blogger nation, please stay prepared, because you never know when you'll have to do a thing.
